Interaction

Can students and instructors interact with this tool? (Grabe & Grabe, 159)

Initially, we discussed that this was really a one-way street — teachers creating tutorials or visual aids/instructions for students. But indeed, instructors and students COULD interact. Since Jing is free and easy to use, students could have it installed on their own computers. If a student has trouble completing a task on the computer, or has trouble locating something, or just wants to show the teacher an example, perhaps as a visual aid to help explain a question, the student can use Jing to show the teacher exactly what he/she has tried or is describing. This would be especially helpful for online classes, where teachers and students are not face to face.
