Conclusion

Jing provides a great service, especially to teachers needing to demonstrate "how-to" do nearly anything on the computer. And it's free! The tool lends itself quite well to technology/computer teachers, as they would do the most demonstrating. Teachers might start by choosing the ten most commonly asked "how do I do (blank) again?" questions and creating tutorials for those. Then post them somewhere students can get to them whenever they need to. Technology coordinators could do the same for their teachers. 

But elementary teachers could use Jing, too. For example, they might walk students through using the Internet to search a topic. For teachers who have computers with Web cams, Jing provides a very simple way to create a podcast. Students could do a report, by showing pictures and facts on the computer while they're talking about them.

Online instructors might benefit the most from Jing, as teachers can demonstrate, and students could use Jing to communicate back to teachers. If a student is having trouble, he could use Jing to show the instructor what he is doing.
